Since her birth in June 1945, Petra Cepeda's life was immersed in the musical culture of her Afro-Caribbean roots. Much of Petra's legacy is to protect and preserve the folklore and music of the Puerto Rican Bomba, thus ensuring that future generations keep the tradition alive.
